BIOGRAPHY

Jillian Krempasky is a vocalist, collaborator, and educator based in Houston, TX. She received her Master of Music degree in Voice Performance from Rice University, and her Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance from Westminster Choir College of Rider University.

As a soloist, Jillian was a Houston District Encouragement Awardee in the 2023 Laffont Competition. Her operatic career highlights include the roles of Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni (Shepherd School Opera), Cendrillon in Massenet’s Cendrillon (Westminster Opera Theatre), Hansel in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel (Opera Steamboat OAI), and Dinah in Leonard Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti (Westminster Opera Theatre).

Jillian Krempasky’s dedication to contemporary and chamber works has become a defining aspect of her young career, showcasing her versatility and willingness to explore new musical frontiers. In addition to programming contemporary music on solo recitals, she has collaborated on new music concerts with Musiqa, DACAMERA, and the Rice Percussion Studio.

Jillian’s voice can be heard on the final five tracks of J.A. Kawarsky’s newly released album titled Dancing in the Palm of God’s Hand. She recorded Kawarsky’s featured song cycle in September 2022 with the Zagreb Festival Orchestra in Zagreb, Croatia. The project was recorded by PARMA Recordings and is available now on all streaming platforms.

Next season, Jillian will proudly continue her work as a DACAMERA Young Artist.
